We are looking for energetic, positive and service-minded catering personnel to join our team in the heart of Oslo. If you love the magic of the holiday this is the ideal opportunity for you!

This is a temporary position for our Christmas season.

A contract will be signed electronically by the employer Lunds Tivoli AS, and the employee.

The contract period is from 01/11-2025 until 06/01-2026

Applicants will arrive in Oslo between Oct 30th and Nov 1st and the majority will depart on January 6th/7th 2026.

Job description:

1. Prepare food and operate our outlets during the Christmas Market.

2. Restock and clean before and after opening hours. This may include some heavy lifting as some of the raw materials can weigh up to 20 kg.

3. English speaking, service minded personnel with a very positive attitude

4. Ability to work as part of a team, and really enjoy being around people.

Company will provide the following:

1. Company covers cost of accommodation in upmarket aparthotel, 15-20 mins walking distance from the market.

Each apartment houses 4 people (2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each bedroom, 1 kitchen/living area &1 bathroom)

2. The company pays for round trip flights to Oslo including 1 x check in luggage.

3. The quoted salary of NOK 19.000 is per month and is for 40 hours per week.

This is a very busy period, and the number of working hours is expected to average at 48 hr/week.

(example, week 1 is the busiest week and you may work 50 + hours while the second week you may for example be scheduled to work 32 hours)

4. All hours worked over 160 hours per month will be saved in a time bank, and paid out with the last salary in January.

Each candidate will have between 1-2 days off per week.

5. Salaries will be paid into your bank account on December 5th and January 9th.

The salary in January will include the hours gathered in the time bank, and you will also receive a further 10,2% of your net earnings from 2025.
(referred to as vacation or holiday money in Norway)

6. All candidates will receive a Welcoming mail from Planday which enables them to log in and out of work in an app. Candidates must arrive at the market in their uniforms before they clock in.

7. Candidates will be required to apply for a tax card. We will book appointments for an ID check at the tax office in advance of your arrival.

The tax rate for a short term contract is normally 12-15% but this depends on your personal financial situation.

8. The company provides a full uniform, which consists of woolen underwear, trousers, a woolen sweater, long woolen socks and a Christmas hat.

9. Candidates must bring comfortable warm shoes and a winter coat to work in.

The winter in Norway can be chilly so also remember to pack warm personal clothes.

10. Should you not fulfill your contract, the cost of flight transportation to and from Norway plus any additional administrative costs incurred by the company will be deducted from your final salary.
